Refund & Cancellation Policy

At DDS, we want every customer to walk away with a useful, unbiased car recommendation. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when refunds are available, when they are not, and how to request one.

By making a payment for any paid plan (Priority ₹499 or 1-on-1 ₹999), you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this policy along with our Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of the Service

We provide a personalised advisory service. Once our expert begins preparing your recommendation, time and effort have been invested specifically for you. For this reason, refunds are limited to the situations outlined below.

2. When You Are Eligible for a Refund

You are eligible for a full refund in the following situations:

✅ Non-delivery: We fail to deliver your consultation report within 48 hours of successful payment for the Priority Plan (₹499), or fail to schedule your 1-on-1 WhatsApp session within 72 hours of payment for the ₹999 plan — and the delay is solely attributable to us.
✅ Duplicate payment: You were charged twice for the same order due to a technical error.
✅ Payment captured but service refused by us: If, after taking your payment, we determine we cannot serve you (e.g. your requirement falls outside our expertise — commercial vehicles, vintage cars, imports, etc.) and we decline to provide the consultation, we will issue a full refund.

3. When You Are Not Eligible for a Refund

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

❌ The recommendation has already been delivered to your WhatsApp and you simply disagree with our opinion or no longer wish to proceed with the purchase.
❌ You change your mind, lose interest, or your buying plans change after the consultation is delivered.
❌ You did not respond to clarification messages from our expert, and the consultation could not be completed because of incomplete information from your side.
❌ The recommended car is later found unsuitable based on your test drive, dealer interaction, or subjective preference — our role is advisory, not warranty.
❌ Issues caused by third parties (dealers, manufacturers, financiers, insurers) — these are independent of our service.
❌ Free Plan (₹0) submissions — there is no payment to refund.

4. Cancellation Before Delivery

If you wish to cancel your order before our expert has started preparing your report, please contact us immediately at the details below. If cancellation is requested within 2 hours of payment and work has not yet begun, we will issue a full refund. After this window, the cancellation will be treated as a refund request and reviewed under section 2 above.

5. How to Request a Refund

  1. Write to us at ravi@thedds.in or message us on WhatsApp at +91 75052 84533 within 7 days of payment.
  2. Include your full name, WhatsApp number used at checkout, Razorpay Payment ID (starts with pay_) and a brief reason.
  3. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and respond with a decision within 5 business days.
  4. If approved, the refund will be initiated to your original payment source via Razorpay. Funds typically reflect in your bank account or card statement within 5–7 business days (timing depends on your bank).

6. Partial Refunds

In rare cases where a consultation is only partially delivered due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, a partial refund may be offered at our discretion. The portion refunded will be proportional to the portion of the service not delivered.

7. Disputes and Chargebacks

We request you to first contact us directly to resolve any issue before initiating a chargeback through your bank or card issuer. Unjustified chargebacks may be contested with supporting evidence of service delivery (WhatsApp delivery confirmation, message receipts, etc.).

8. Modifications to this Policy

We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Changes apply only to orders placed after the update.
